So this started out as a mock war poster using characters created specifically for the image. What ended up happening with mine was that it morphed into a Saturday Evening post esque cover. I looked at a lot of Leyendecker's work because of all the great Illustrations of babies that he did over the course of his career. Although not intentional I ended up being influenced by it. The font ended up not looking that great so I may paint it out I'm not sure yet. What do you guys think?
Looks good to me. I have no problems with the font. It might look better if the letters are solid black though. Then again, maybe not. Great work, Staggs.
WOW MAN! I'm blown away! This is probably my favorite thing you have done lately! Awesome colors, pose as well as the expressions my brother! Lettering not as good as it could've been but it works fine! Great job Staggy!
Yeah, I can REALLY see the Leyendecker influence, it looks AWESOME! And your watercolors are amazing, I'm jealous that you went from novice to master watercolorist in like one semester XD
I was afraid if I went totally black with how big they were it might detract from the picture. I think I'm going to paint them out they are just bugging me way too much.

I think it looks pretty damn awesome - Everything clicks, the colors, the composition, the figure work...
I hate you.
